Meet Our Team

Dr. Kiira Tietjen DNP, PMHNP-BC
Co-Founder and psychiatric nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience helping children, teens, and adults navigate complex mental health challenges. She is dedicated to bringing cutting-edge treatments like TMS to patients when traditional care is not enough.
Dr. Kiira Tietjen is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and the Co-Founder of New Chapter TMS. She has spent over a decade helping children, teens, and adults navigate mental health challenges, with a special focus on finding new solutions when traditional treatments are not enough. Her career began in inpatient psychiatry as a registered nurse, where she supported patients through some of their most difficult moments. After completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Nursing, she went on to provide care in outpatient psychiatry, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Over time, she saw that while medications can help many, others continue to struggle. This realization led her to train in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a safe and effective, non-medication treatment for depression. Dr. Tietjen is one of the few providers in the region to hold the PULSES International Certification through the Clinical TMS Society, a leading training program for TMS providers worldwide. She also serves as a Key Opinion Leader for NeuroStar, reflecting her expertise in the field and her commitment to educating peers and providers about neuromodulation. Patients and families describe Dr. Tietjen as approachable, empathetic, and deeply committed to high-quality care. At New Chapter TMS, her goal is simple: to combine the best of science with compassion and collaboration, giving each person the individualized support they deserve.
